The Reduced Timetable Project is a project run by Children's Services in Boston, and FITC are working in partnership with Children's Services, to give young people that are on a reduced timetable from a local secondary school, the Haven High technology College, the opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised qualification in maths and literacy, using sports as a tool of engagment.

The young people who attend are aged between 14-16 years, and are working towards their qualifications and are rewarded by taking part in sports on site. The young people are mentored by Children's Services staff and FITC staff, to help them to achieve the best possible outcome.

The project is in the second phase of the pilot, with the first year being an outstanding success and resulting in qualifications earned by the young people attending and funding being raised for the second year to continue the work.

Young people who attend projects such as this are able to be diverted into other positive activities in Children's Services and Boston United Football in the Community Scheme.
