FITC HALF TIME MATCH ACTIVITIES
FITC have ran half time match activities throughout the course of the season. On Saturday 25th April FITC had many activities going on during the last game of the season for Boston United.
Fairplay winners Cowbit St Marys and passing team winners Staniland Primary School both were invited back to take part in lots of activities. Both schools before the game had a intense warmup on the pitch when both teams were doing there warmups. After the warmup all the children made there way across to the players tunnel ready to lead both sides on to the field. At half time they all took part in a penalty shootout, then had a group photo with Boston Utd players Jon Rowan and Ollie Ryan before finishing the day off with a lap of honour. Right is both schools pictured with players Jon Rowan, Ollie Ryan and FITC coach Richard Houghton.
Boston United Community Football Club members were also in attendance as was Nicola Drummond cheerleading group from Kirton primary school.
The Kirton cheerleaders greeted the players on to the pitch with a routine and also did another routine for the fans at half time. BUCFC members came on to the pitch at half time and they all had a go at the FITC target goal. After two attempts each they also had a photo with the two Boston United players and then proceeded to go round the pitch for a lap of honour.
The whole day was great fun for everyone and was a huge success. I hope everyone who attended enjoyed themselves and lets now start looking forward to next years match activities.

EASTER CHEERLEADING REPORTS
The children of all ages took part in a two hour cheerleading session that involved in them performing a brief routine to the parents at the end of the day. The youngsters participated in fun warmup games, stretches, basic arm motions and chants. All of the children were split into two groups made up of younger ones and older ones. The younger beginner group did a routine to High School Musical and the older group did a routine to "Right Round" which gave all the kids great satisfaction and confidence to move forward with their cheerleading. Overall it was a great afternoon with plenty of enthusiastic and motivated children getting involved. Right is a picture of all the cheerleaders practising there routines at the Jakemans Stadium.
Boston United Football in the Community department worked with Boston Mayflower on there "Get Out and Get Involved" days that were held at a number of venues around the Boston area. The venues included Old Leake Giles School, Boston Haven High School and Kirton Middlecott. All three days saw mainly young children aged 6-10yrs wanting to get involved with pom poms and doing routines to High School Musical, Popcorn and Britney Spears Womanizer. This was another chance to get groups of youths involved in sporting activity and show what Boston United FITC are trying to do for the community with the help of numerous different partners. Thanks for all the children that took part and we look forward to seeing you in the future on these projects and others around the county.

FITC EASTER HOLIDAY REPORTS
Boston United Stadium Course
It was a great turnout for the Boston Holiday Course with 48 kids on average attending over the three days. All the children deserve alot of praise for the great attitude, behaviour and work rate they all put in over the three days. All coaches tried to make it as fun as possible and although it was a mutli sport course the coaches tried to give the kids as much football as possible and from all of the kids faces we believe they thoroughly enjoyed the three days.
Over the three days we did a variety of sports such as on the first day we did tag rugby, unihoc and football. The second day we did basketball, netball, athletics and football and the final day we did kwik cricket, rounders and football. Throughout the three days everyone did lots of football matches in goals that were set up for them. On the first day the children took part in a penalty shootout competition.and also went in to the Boston United boardroom to sign a fake Boston United player contract with Club Secretary John Blackwell. The second day the children did a javelin competition and also played on the FITC Nintendo Wii. Finally the third day they took part in a king of the ring competition and all groups went round on the Boston United Stadium Tour.
Boston United winger and FITC coach Lee Beeson reflected on the course by saying " I personally want to praise the younger group first as they all did extremely well over the three days, it was tough but they all remained really lively and always wanted to play football which is a good thing. Overall i think the three days was a great experience for all the children, being around the ground and playing on the pitch makes them all experience what it is like to be a footballer for Boston United. The whole course was a huge success and i really hope all the kids enjoyed themselves". Below is a few pictures taken from the Boston United Stadium course.
Skegness
Friday 17th April saw Boston United FITC attend Skegness Grammar School to deliver a multi-sport holiday course. Seventeen children attended the days course that was put on by FITC coaches Nathan Hubbert and Adam Millson. Adam and Nathan set up various challenges and activities ranging from sports such as unihoc, tag rugby, rounders and football. The children were split into an older and younger group to ensure maximum contribution and time with each activity. Tag rugby was a favourite with the oldest group with most of the children taking a particular delight in diving over the try line.
After a short break for dinner they then all took part in a competition. A penalty shootout was requested from all the children as well as a king of the ring competition for unihoc. Once two winners had been decided a small sided football tournament took place. This was a favourite with everyone and the day then finished off with a enjoyable contested match involving everybody there.
Boston Haven High
On Thursday 16th April BUFC FITC coach Ollie Ryan attended Haven High School to represent FITC at the "GET OUT GET INVOLVED" event that is ran by Boston Mayflower. On the day there was various activities taking place that catered for children with differing interests. The activities included Dancing, FITC Cheerleading, Nintendo Wii, Bouncy Castles, Fitness Testing, Football Sessions plus much more.
Around 200 children attended the event, with about 30 children attending the football session throughout the day. The children participated in various drills including penalty shootouts and free kick competitions. The majority of the three hours were taken up by matchplay, resulting in some really enjoyable matches and some really excellent passages of play. The whole day was a huge success with alot of talented and hard working children enjoying all the activities especially the FITC football sessions.

14 April 2009
During the course of this season FITC have held a Fairplay game at half time every home fixture throughout the season. The main aim was for the children to play the game with great sportsmanship whilst having fun at the same time and not worrying about what the result ended up being. The main goal was achieved as all teams succeeded in doing everything asked.
The Teams all got marked on fairplay points which could be earned my doing such things as not fouling, helping an opposing player up to their feet and shaking hands etc. Teams were also being monitored of how many passes the team made. All the data from every game was updated every week on this website for all to see.
The team that made the most passes during there game was Staniland Primary School with 43 overall passes. The team that showed the most fairplay during there game was Cowbit St Marys Primary School with a total of 165 points. If you would like to view where your team came in both of the tables then please click this link. http://www.bostonutdfitc.co.uk/page36.htm
Many thanks to all who took part in the half time fairplay league and those who attended to support all the teams. Last thanks go to Richard Houghton who co-ordinated the league and his helpers for there effort throughout to make the days run so smoothly. Congratulations to both teams who won the leagues and we hope you all attend next years league in the season of 09/10.

After the session Nathan took some time out to speak, and told bostonutdfitc.co.uk " This was actually the second day that i had attended the PRSA and put on a football session for the kids, it was amazing how many more children wanted to take part in the football the second day and it showed as i doubled the numbers for the second day".
